Embracing unconditional Gratitude: A Healing Journey.
Living in a world that constantly strives for perfection and often highlights our flaws, the concept of unconditional gratitude emerges as a radical and transformative act. Inspired by the four pillars of the angelic real by Annie Conboy.
I have embarked on a journey to embrace gratitude for all facets of life, especially those that challenge us and push us to grow. Unconditional gratitude is about acknowledging and appreciating every part of our being our flaws, our imperfections, and even the dark sides we often try to hide. Its about being honest with ourselves and accepting that we are and never will be perfect. This journey requires us to love ourselves for who we truly are, embracing both the light and the raw parts within us.
For me this journey started with recognising the lessons learned from my upbringing. Growing up in an army family provided me with unique experiences and opportunities that shaped who I am today. I am grateful for the resilience and the adaptability I gained from living in diverse cultures and facing constant change. The friendships formed during this time were like a second family, providing unwavering support and teaching me the value of camaraderie.
A significant part of my journey involves expressing gratitude for my voice the ability to communicate my needs, wants, and wishes. This voice allows me to advocate for myself and others who may not have the same privilege. It connects me to the spirit within and to the life I am living, honouring the unseen and the universe’s immense power and energy.
Unconditional love plays a crucial role in this journey. I am deeply grateful for my loving partner, who sees and loves me for who I am, flaws and all. In turn, I cherish the opportunity to love him for his true self, appreciating both his good and bad sides. This mutual acceptance and love have been profound source of strength and inspiration.
My children bring immense joy and learning into my life. Watching them grow and have them accept me back into their lives after all the challenges is a testament to the resilience of love and family. Their presence reminds me of the importance of forgiveness and unconditional acceptance.
Gratitude extends to every aspect of my life, including my past mistakes and people who have crossed my path, whether friends, family, or those who have challenged me. These experiences and individuals have taught me valuable lessons about my self and life. I am thankful for the free education received, the dedicated service of the NHS, and the simple yet profound blessings of my home, food, and natures beauty.
Unconditional gratitude transcends mere acknowledgment, it is a profound embrace of all that we are and all that we become. It requires us to recognise the beauty within ourselves and the world, even when it seems determined to make us feel otherwise. Through this journey, I have learned to be enough, worthy, to be confident, and to be loving. For all this I am greatful.
